small 2-cycle gas engine with integrated clutch and gearbox is at
the heart of the Gas Blaster. A collapsible frame and pivoting thrust
arm provide excellent flexibility, allowing a good range of heights
and angles. Strokes to 7", speeds to about 220 SPM. Power off
the chart, of course... a bit over 1-1/4 horses. The clutch is nice,
since the thrusting stops when the motor is at idle. This machine
is very heavily built, with custom hinges and heavy steel components
providing a rock-solid platform.
This
machine is a blast! Control is via a hand grip on a moderate length
of tether. Pull the trigger, rev the engine. Two shutoff switches
for safe play, including one at the operator's fingertips. Here's
one machine where noise is part of the experience, and this puppy
is loud. Chainsaw loud, baby!
